i have a 90 nissan sentra, the motors a 1.6.

the most likely cause would be a clogged fuel filter, but there are too many possibilities to just guess and start replacing parts at random. if you can't remember the last time the fuel filter has been replaced then it has been too long. not expensive and good maintenance.try that and go from there.

Most newer cars are controlled by the computer. An easy why to reset it is to disconnect the pos. cable on the battery for about 5 min.s
hope this works if it doesn't you will probably have to have it put on a dianosgic machine.

Bad Plugs possibly; that's be the cheapest diagnosis to try; Could be a lot of things really.

most likely its minor.probably needs full tuneup,spark plugs,maybe plug wires,oxygen sensor(if it has one).there are lots of sensors for the computer on newer vehicles.
