Hi People,

I have a 1.4 Vauxhall Astra.

The problem I have is that I have a bloked CAT (Catalitic Converter) and can't really afford the £350 that Vauxhall want to replace it.

I have heard that there is a liquid solution that you can apparently buy that you mix with the petrol, which cleans the CAT. I assume it is like Injector cleaner, which you put in the petrol tank.

I have searched online and can't really find anything about it, has anyone heard of this stuff, and and if so, what is it called, and where can I buy it? Just a name will do, so that I can do the rounds and ask all the motor factors in the area!

There is a werid sound and a jerk everytime im driving...it feels like it gettin caught on something and than it frees. Do anyone know what the problem might be and the solution in solving this problem? I drive a 1999 Ford Explorer 4wd...4door...hope someone can help me...Thank You For Your Time

I have a 2003 corvette ZO6 and there has been a recall a while ago, which is the steering column locks while driving. It has happened 4 seperate times , Why haven`t the dealership just replace it instead of say it was reprogrammed the first time the second time turned it away because it wasn`t locked when it got towed.What in Gods name can I do with these incompetant people. This is only a tip of the iceburg of what they have done to my car. Even they scratched my car and never told me I found the scratch and they lied right in my face , but then finally admitted that one of there workers did it. They did pay for it to be fixed but the point is they tried covering it up and hiding it and never saying a word about it. Like I said this is only the tip of the iceburg, please who can I turn these people in to? What do I do? And it is a well known dealership to boot. Lots of feedback AND advice please.

I have a 97 Neon. The Canister Purge Valve circuit gives a code 31 stating that it has a problem. I've replaced the valve, which didn't make the code go away. I removed the battery for a few hours, and the code went away. I drove for about 2 weeks and the code came back on. If it's not the valve, where do I look next?

All basics covered; oil, antifreeze, etc. Can sometimes go a week without light coming on. Does run a bit rough at times but it does have 127,000 miles on it. Please give me options before I take it in for a look as I do not have a reliable mechanic as of yet. Thanks!

the vehicle will not start as long as you are cranking the engine with the ignition switch. If you bump the starter with the switch, sometimes it will start. once the engine warms up, it will start every time. any smart answers will be a big help.

I can buy a new clutch for $110 or I can pay a shop almost $1000 to replace it. I can't afford the $1000 so I have to replace it myself. I have a Chilton's and a Hayne's, but it looks like a lot of work. Can someone give me some advice. I need a way to get to work. It is an '85 supra with the 5MGE engine if that helps.

I drive a 1997 Ford Ranger, 3.0, feul injeced. lately he engine has been skipping quie badly, as if it is not firing on all cylinders. Also, the truck has terrible gas milage and no power. Ihave recently changed the plugs and plug wires. Any thoughts on what is wrong?
