I am insured by worthless Allstate and also have uninsured motorist coverage as required by state law. I was not able to get the hit and run drivers license number because he quickly fled the scene. When I called Allstate about my accident they told me I would only have to pay a $100.00 dollar deductable even after I told them I didn't get any info on the hit and run driver. Then when I went to the local Allstate claims office I got a totally diffrent story.
The claims guy says if you dont know who the other driver is you have to pay a $500.00 deductable.

Since I've moved here, I've been rear-ended, my road-rage has skyrocketed, and I've seen more idiots on the road then I did when I lived in Dallas. I can't wait to get out of this hick town.

Do you have to call another cop to the scene to be an objective authority? What happens if the cop is at fault?

Has this happened to you or someone you know? If so, what happened?

I know it is not that hard getting one but I am making it seem like it! I get so nervous behind the wheel when I am being tested by the DMV person. I already failed the behind the wheel three times and I had put it off for a year already. I am a sad person, even ppl who are younger than me already have theirs. I really want to drive and I am thinking about giving it my all when I am ready again!!! I don't get nervous with my instructor, though...he always thinks I am ready but when it comes to the professional test...I freeze!

I'm not referring here to kids on their way to the playground. I'm talking about spandex clad yuppies on status symbol bikes who won't keep to the right side of the roadway, and often ride two or three abreast in defiance of traffic law as well as common decency. They apparently take self-righteous pleasure in delaying and annoying motorists.
What's YOUR favorite method for dealing with these vermin? I've considered responses ranging from mild (hurling insults) to medium (hurling the remains of a fast-food meal) to severe. (I won't describe this but it involves picking bits of spandex and gore from the treads of the tires afterward.)
What response do you prefer?

What do you think of that?

I thought it was awesome. I get so tired of other bicyclists not paying attention to the rules of the road, acting like they own the planet. Until they get hit by a car because they were not following the laws of traffic. I realize that motorists make mistakes to and sometimes don't see a bicyclist, most often though, of the ones I have personally witnessed the bicyclist wasn't following the laws.

The tickets were $81. It did irritate me though that while he was writing out a ticket a group of 4 or 5 bikes went through the stop sign too. He didn't stop them so it isn't really fair.

By singling out the most profitable oil company Exxon/Mobil, and not buying their gas, do you think that would drive down prices.

I think if every American bypassed this company and bought gas elsewhere, it would drive down prices. Exxon is the most powerful and has the most to lose. Sure, some of the profits woul;d end up at other stations, but when Exxon has been "hosed" just move onto the next.
