Do you do it when you are rushing to get somewhere, too impatient to wait, gas needle on "E" and afraid that you're gonna cut off or doing it for a thrill?

I am so glad to see how smart everyone is, As a railroader you can't believe how many of these Young kids in hopped up Honda's try and beat us at the crossing. The loco that I am responsible for ways 225 TONS just the the engine alone at 20 mile per hour takes 200 feet to stop.now add 3 locos and 90, 200,000lb cars.
thank-you all for being smart!!! give yourself 10 points.
oh and I always push the tank past E. I hate getting gas.

I used to live near train tracks and I saw the results of the "thrill" too many times...

I live near a depot, so all the time because there is nothing there or employees are waving people through because there's enough time. But I don't take risks for no reason.

i made a wrong turn once and got stuck with my utility trailer on the track i got off just in time but the trailer didnt the amtrack paint is still on it it left a small dent as the trailer was just coming off
i will never let that happen agin

NEVER. Never, ever, ever. My life isn't worth it. I'd rather run out of gas, or run late, or whatever. Nothing is importiant enough for me to risk my life and die in such an ignorant manner.

Not I, of course my Dad was hit by a train when I was kid, so after seeing that destruction I guess I might be just a little scared to try it.

NEVER!!!!!! Great way to loose life, limb, &/or property. Reasoning behind this answer - Train very Big, Car small, car always lose.

Not only is that dangerous and incredibly stupid....it's against the law and you can get a ticket
