You know the buttons that you have to push to cross the street? Can someone tell me if they actually have a purpose or are we just pushing a button for nothing?

Often, no, they don't work. Many cities disconnected them in the 60s and 70s because the pedestrian crossing lights interfered with the timing systems for a series of intersections.

Hahaha no yet i've got considered human beings walked as much as a minimum of one that has already been pressed as WAIT is obviously illuminated and press it returned and then while the site visitors would not stop proceed to press it at as quickly as questioning this could influence the device. Lol. Eejits!

I think it's for nothing. Pedestrians cross the street no matter what and if you hit them it's your fault. I believe if the idiot is crossing in traffic and he gets hit, then they deserve it.
