It takes me one hour to travel 15 miles from Pasadena to Culver City. There has to be a better way to commute and not by bus or train. Everyone knows public transport in Los Angeles bites.

I myself drive an economical car. What humors me is those people that drive SUV's by themselves and you hear them complaining. I simply tell them to drive a smaller car and maybe people would actually listen to their complaining. They don't like that, but it's the truth and the truth hurts. What do you think?

I would rather cut everyone off, than drive slow behind them. People driving under 70 mph on the freeway should not be allowed to get on the freeway.

There are so many varables that determin what you are paying for gas. The car you drive, size of the car, extra driving, etc...

do you complain?
do you drive a big car? drive a smaller car.
do you get bad gas milage? get a better car.
do you drve extra? don't drive extra or for fun?

get a bike, scooter, motocycle, walk more, etc..

why complane about something you cannot change?
change the things you can change

I think the fdriving age should be 18.
how about you?
There are too many drivers. rodes are to crowded.
gas is too expensive.
and 16 is not mature enough to drive.

Will $4.00 gas cause less traffic?
Will people drive their SUV's less? The SUV's take up too much space on the highways and streets.

The hubby thinks the distance between Hawaii and Alaska is greater than Alaska to Florida. Can you tell us which one is right? A source would be great so we know who is going to clean out the fridge after all, lol.

Today I was behind a lady who couldn't get it over 40mph and it takes me 30 min to get where I was going doing 55. I couldn't pass for a long time and I was getting impatient. So I just waited and counted to whatever till I could pass.

if we used only batteries in city vehicles then that would leave power plants open to try and make things more efficient. they could learn how to use coal better and we would charge our cars rather than fill them up. vehicles that need more power could s till use gas but a focus doesnt need so much power. not everyone needs a v8 dodge charger. my 4 cyl corolla can do hills just fine. companies could make small cars and sedans battery powered and make vans and pickups gas powered for towing. i also have a toyota sienna. that has a v8 in it and we use it to pull campers and stuff. but if our corolla were battery then we would need only half the amount of gas we currently use. is this a possible solution to transportation fueling problems?

I drive through back to back traffic every day (an hour and a half sometimes) to go to work, and I'd say I spend about $70 a week for a mid-size car.
I'd go for public transportation if it was available that far away, but it's not. I don't even go out much anymore because I am tired of the gas gage speedily going down to empty-----do you know what I mean?
What do you spend?
What would we do if we had to pay $5-6 for a gallon of gas!?!?!?

Many on-ramps have the driver come to a complete stop, and then have to wait for a break in traffic to "floor" it (punch the accelator all the way to the floor.) There are no modern on-ramps/off-ramps, and the transition to I-5 is one lane, which always backs up, because it seems like its there like an after-thought. How hard woudld it be to redo the transition, so that there would be 2 lanes to the 5? What a novel concept!! The CA 110 (Pasadena Fwy) is stuck in time, regardless of how fast cars go or how many people drive it a day.

Every day, I nearly get killed by careless and sometimes very reckless drivers. Winnipeg is not cyclist friendly. Drivers yell "get off the road!" and try to run you off. What have people done in your city to make it safer?
