I would not have any choice as there is no public transportation to where I work, but I would cut down on any non-essential trips and my son would ride the bus to and from school every day instead of me taking him to and fro.

Of course I would. What choice do we have. If we don't drive a car, the cost of public transport will be the same. Plus, public transport can be unreliable, never on time, and doesn't always go where you need to. So yes, even though I would not be the happiest camper, I would still pay $5 per gallon for gas

This country wouldn't function at all if we all stopped buying gas, no matter how high the prices go. We are so tied up in oil companies it's ridiculous! And for those of us who own a vehicle, we have become such a lazy country, we would buy gas no matter how high the cost, just to get from place to place. Most of us don't believe in walking or biking or traveling by any means which would be healthy.

Do you propose the shrimpers and the fishermen, no longer to prepare the persons whose livelihoods count number on the vacationer marketplace and the seashores? Are they no longer those being punished the most? tens of millions of human beings ought to correctly be economically and environmentally ruined, and also you're aggravating about the price of gas. u . s . replaced into warned very nearly 40 years in the past that the rustic replaced into far too depending on oil for power. per chance your mom and father may undergo in options the flexibility grisis contained in the Nineteen Seventies. If this body of options keeps up, the rustic will be far extra impoverished than an better 20 cents a gallon is going to reason. the form of disaster is going to proceed happening till Western international places stop being such gluttons for less expensive power. Yes I would manly due to the fact that I need it to get to class and work everyday. If gas hit $12.00 a gallon I would still have to buy it, it is just a simple fact that America does not have the excellent public transportation like Europe does.

If I figure it out right it is already close to 5:00 a gallon, that is why I walk to work. but it is getting to the point that alternate fuel is going to be the way to go.
when gas was three dollars a gallon running a vehicle on something else was not feasible but it is getting to the point that it is cheaper to tell the oil companies where to go and run on something else.
believe me the world will be a different place when it is no longer run buy oil companies.

Not much choice if I still want to get to and from school/work. As long as I'm not the only person paying $5 a gallon, I could really care less.

I STILL WILL, BUT I WILL MODIFY MY BAD HABITS EVEN MORE TO USE LESS FUEL!! a fundamental change is occurring in this country right before our eyes. we are transferring wealth that was hard earned by the middle class back to the rich that aren't happy that we have it to start with. as gas prices continue to go up we will continue to have a decrease in the standard of living for most middle class families. more money will be spent on basic necessities like food and fuel to get to work and heat our homes. this will continually leave less money for luxury items that many middle Class families have grown accustomed to. we will start to see small homes make a comeback as will small vehicles. soon only the rich will be able to take vacations as well. dont believe me or think i am full of it?????? stick around my friends and see if i am wrong. people are living on credit right now!! soon the credit will dry up as interest rates continue to go up.. GOOD BYE MIDDLE CLASS AND THE SUBURBS!!!!!!!!!! THE RICH PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY WANT THEIR MONEY BACK, SO PAY @ THE PUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't want to, but I would have to if I want to get around. But u could walk, ride a bike, cab, or a bus. I'd still want to drive then do those, but some people probably would do those instead.
