I have brought my Pacifica to a couple different dealers for burning oil and I get no results. It is burning about 1 qt. per 1000 miles. They can't figure out where it is going. It isn't leaking and they won't say there is a problem cause they can't find out where the oil is going. So I call and write Chrysler Customer Care and all they do is call the dealer and tell me nothing is wrong. The dealers say they are going to do an oil consumption test and halfway thru they tell me that they don't do the test. I am nearing the 36,000 mile warranty and I fear they are going to tell me something is wrong after the warranty is up. The only people I talk to that say there is nothing wrong with my car is Chrysler Service Dept. and Chrysler Cust. Care. Any ideas??? I have run out of options to get the oil burning problem handled. I am at the mercy of the dealers to detect the problem so I can get it fixed and they can't figure it out and refuse to document oil loss on service history.

My car has 3 years and only 15,000 miles. I'm offered to buy a 6 year warranty, up to 60,000 miles for $2515 (it would be like paying $420 per year). There is a $50 deductible for each repair.
My dad, who is a french mechanic, think that because the engine is new, I don't need it. But the representative told me that if the top of the convertible don't work, it would be expensive to repair. My dad never repaired a convertible.
So what should I do?

I recently replaced the battery and didnt drive it much after. The mechanic told me I must drive the car so many miles in order for the computer to reset, since I disconnected the power. How many miles should I drive it before I take it back to the shop to pass inspection?

usually after it has run for awhile this problem rears it's head. almost always when i come to stop at a light or after i stop (for gas) and restart engine it is more likely to happen. i know it is a sensor because i replaced fuel pump. fuel pump was going bad as it turned out (no fuel pressure or not up to spec) so i replaced it.
I need to know who knows this problem and / or anyone who had the same problem and fixed it. Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), crank and cam position sensors, any ideas? it sometimes happens at crusing speed on highway so no way to predict conditions that occur to cause the engine shutdown.
I dont have enough $ to replace all the sensors and / or the EMT computer (unless you know that is what it is).
Email me at rrb6699@yahoo.com
thanks

My daughter inlaw and son have a 2001 chrysler LHS.The other day they had to have it towed because it would not start,They live in Alaska. The car would turn over and only run for awhile and die,all the lights are working. The guy at the shop replaced the fog light fuse, they started it in the shop and it ran, they took it home and tryed starting it this morning and the same thing happened,it is being towed again.I know nothing about cars, but why would the fog light fuse make it run?I know you have to get cars winterized in Alaska, which they have not done, but the mechanic said that wouldn't make any difference.
We live in Iowa and the winters don't seem to get any colder here than there,it is the same temperature there as it is here today.Any way does anyone know what could be wrong with it.?I think the mechanic is taking their money,my son is in the service and stationed at Fort Wainwright, they don't have alot of money to be throwing away, any help would be appreciated.

The other day i saw in a parking lot, a very small El Camino/Ranchero style car/truck that had the star/pentagon badge shared by chrysler and dodge. The vehicle was very small, but in its pristine condition with candy apple red paint, i honestly would love to own one like that. It was about 80% the size of an El Camino, such that it had an overall footprint much more like a VW Beetle. It appeared to be somewhere between the very late 70s to the very early 90s, based on its boxy appearance, reminiscent of the old Monte Carlo's used for hobby stock racing (boxy with lots of accent creases to the panels, 80s typical).

There were no badges identifying the vehicle anywhere, and I think i honestly might buy one if i knew what they were so i could find one on eBay. Thanks!

OK, I have an update: I have everything essential to starting this car, except gasoline, the fuel gauge has also stopped working are they connected? I am wondering do I need a new fuel pump, or is the fuel gauge indicative of something else? wiring maybe, I cannot find a decent wiring diagram anywhere so I don't know if one affects the other or not, please help!

I just bought a brand new chrysler 300 touring 07 on Nov. 27th. It doesn't start when the weather is cold. So the car is in the shop since last Sat. The service guys can't figure out what's going on with it. I am so frustrated. I am making the payment of a brand new chrysler and driving a cheap rental. This is not the problem that frustrates me but the worry of such an unreliable car. And, anybody knows how to get hold of the executives of Chrysler? because when I call the 1-800 number, I get this receptionist who has no ethics and tells me she doesn't have any numbers for me? and i am not qualified for lemon law yet.

I have 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, that came with the Remote Start installed. Recently the batteries went dead so i replaced them and the start works but you have to be like a foot away pointing it at the car.

Any ideas why it doesn't work... Do i need to reset the remote?

Thanks!

A friend and I done some work on my brakes several weeks ago. Not too long after this I was having some stuff checked out by my mechanic and they couldn't find that special piece that fits over one lugnut from each wheel in order to remove it. I've looked quite a bit for it and still can't seem to find it. Any ideas? My car may not be in urgent need of it, but it'd be good to know my tires are changeable if needed.
