I have 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, that came with the Remote Start installed. Recently the batteries went dead so i replaced them and the start works but you have to be like a foot away pointing it at the car.

Any ideas why it doesn't work... Do i need to reset the remote?

Thanks!

I bet those batteries are defective. Reason being, they are not the type that sells alot so they may have sat on the store shelf too long.

I'm inclined to agree with Mr. Know it all. I replaced the ones for my wife's '97 Dakota some years ago and had no problem. But all hers does is set the security and lock the doors. Good Luck.

remove the batteries and check the voltage in them with a meter. the battery will say the voltage on it, normally they are 3 volts.

I really feel for you. Your life must be so hard without this. Seek counseling.
