These headlights are made of plastic, and they do tend to become foggy. You can clean them by using an auto buffer and cleaner wax, or there are cleaning kits available.

It is not just Chrysler vehicles, I have seen it happen with most makes!!

I have seen most all brand of vehicles that have foggy looking lenses. The heat and splash from the road take their toll on the plastic and make it look foggy.
Most auto parts stores have a kit to clean those up and make them look like new again. The "Mothers" brand even has a polisher you can put in a drill and let it do the hard work of polishing.

Just about all headlight covers fog over time. You can buy a kit to brighten them back up at Wal-Mart cheap and it works really well because I have used it.

They close a cheaper material than they should have. Light energy (mostly from the sun) effects all materials to some degree, and a few molecules break down here and there, so that the properties of the material change. That's what's happening here.

The process is called oxidation and can be buffed out. Don't forget to do the inside as well.
