My daughter inlaw and son have a 2001 chrysler LHS.The other day they had to have it towed because it would not start,They live in Alaska. The car would turn over and only run for awhile and die,all the lights are working. The guy at the shop replaced the fog light fuse, they started it in the shop and it ran, they took it home and tryed starting it this morning and the same thing happened,it is being towed again.I know nothing about cars, but why would the fog light fuse make it run?I know you have to get cars winterized in Alaska, which they have not done, but the mechanic said that wouldn't make any difference.
We live in Iowa and the winters don't seem to get any colder here than there,it is the same temperature there as it is here today.Any way does anyone know what could be wrong with it.?I think the mechanic is taking their money,my son is in the service and stationed at Fort Wainwright, they don't have alot of money to be throwing away, any help would be appreciated.
