My mechanic says its a waste of money. (ie after market warranties are useless. On the other hand, the dealer says it offers bumper to bumper coverage. Its $2500 dollars for 2 years 24000 miles coverage. Is this warrenty worth it or should I just pay for repairs as they come up?

I got a car in my name for someone close to me. She has not made a payment for March and April's payment is almost due. I am unable to find her. She won't answer her phone or her door. I believe she is hiding from me. How do I go about getting this car back before she completely ruins my credit?

I sold my gay, green Neon for $1500.00 and I am in the market for another truck. I burned my other truck after I blew up my transmission driving backwards on a dirt track. (see my blogs for the sad, sad stories of my truck, my trip to Daytona and how it all ended..) I have found a 1971 Mack 18 wheeler for sale for only $2500.00. It is rough, one window doesn't work, the interior is shot and the paint is flat red and the tires are bald but it does run even though it smokes like heck. I don't have a C license but I would only drive it around and not haul anything. Is this legal? I think it would be so cool to bolt a pick-up bed to the rear frame and tool around town. I would be the biggest redneck alive then! It would drive my neighbor insane. He hates my guts anyway and tried to have me kicked out of the trailer park this week. I think it would look very cool parked in front of my house every night. Any comments?

I'm in the military and I just bought an SUV. I have decided not to reenlist, and instead go to college fulltime. It is highly unlikely that I will be able to continue with the notes. I will have half of the loan payed off by the end of my contract. Will I still be able to trade my SUV off at a dealership or anywhere else for a vehicle of lesser value?

I want to buy a Salvage Tile Nissan Murano, but many people assert that, unless you are in expert in salvage vehicles, DON'T purchase a salvage car? What is so bad about a car with a salvage title when the buyer is very careful? To me, a salvage titled car is nearly half price..so why not purchase one without errors?
Thank You

I'm trying to buy a car from my mother but no finance company will loan me more than the lien (or buyout) amount on the car which is 14,000 even though the value of the car is over 25,000 (kelly blue book low value). The banks state that because she is my mother it presents a conflict of intrest for her to make a profit. What's the reasoning behind this?
