I am selling my car and I got an email that seems way to good to be true (offering my exact price without bargaining or even asking about details). Is there anyone I can take the email to so that they can look at it and advise me on my next step?

I have the vehicle history report from Carfax and the car was in a flooded area BUT no flood damage was reported. I am looking at a 2005 Toyota Prius with one owner and under 7,000 miles. The car looks great, but I am suspicious because I am in a hurricane affected area and the car has such low milage. It is from one of the big local dealership's used car lot. It is not Toyota certified as 'there is no much left on the original warranty that we didn't certify it, if you want us to it will cost you an aditional $500,' and I think certifying it adds two years to the warrantee. So, what should I look for to see if there is flood damage??? Thank you for your answers.

I want to sell my car as soon as possible. Should I even bother with posting ads, or should I just stick to word-of-mouth? Any other additional information would be greatly appreciated!

Ok these are my options for cars. 2001 Mercedes Benz CL500. 2005 Subaru STi. 2006 Dodge Charger R/T. 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe. 2006 Pontiac GTO . 2007 cadillac CTS. 2006 Mustang GT. 2003 Mercedes benz E500. And thats basically it. I do not know what to get. i do not know if i want a manual car or an automatic car. Im looking for something nice, not cheap, fast, fun to drive, something that will impress every one. i just dont know what to get though lol, im so confused. I really like the CL500 with some rims on it, but the mileage would be like 60K on it. The dodge charger drove ok but its a big car with little windows and the steering wheels is to easy. The mustang drove nice, but its a ford. The subaru is nice but its small and uncomfortable. The G35 is ok, but its really small, like my head would almost hit the sealing. The CTS is ok but i would prefer something faster. The Pontiac is fast but the handling sucks. Can anyone give me some good suggestions, im really picky :)

Every car I get behind has an advertisement on it that tells me where they bought their vehicle. I think the dealerships should pay for that advertising. Or drop the price by $1,000.00. Something. Next time I buy a car, I'm going to insist they not put on the sticker. Has anyone had any hassels over this with a salesman? Anyone agree? Disagree?

I had to replace the factory catalyic converter because it went bad, but in order to save lots of money i bought a replacement part rather than the more expensive from the dealer. I was told this is illegal in CA and will not pass smog check. However, its perfectly legal in NV and WILL pass smog there.

I bought the hybrid in CA, but i am a NV resident. Now i want to sell the car, which i still have CA plates, reason for this...because it would have more value in CA since it has the CA HOV stickers on them.

My question is, can i still sell my car to a private party in CA? Would i have to disclose to the buyer that the car would need the catalyic converter replaced (for about $1500) or it wont pass smog? Or is that their fault/loss ??

PS. Obviously i know it would be the moral thing to do. But i am not asking for morals here.

The car is in EXCELLENT condition, other than a few scratches on the rims... the interior is spotless, and the paint is perfect... the only problem is the transmission and I don't have $1200+ to spend on it... so my basic question is how much would be a resonable price to sell it for??? THANK YOU!!!

I bought a car in January 2007.
Mid February, my car died on the highway. (250 km from home)
Cost me $530 to get it back home.
Brought it to a mechanic, only to spend$1700 on a new thermostat, fuel pump, rad fan, spark plugs, breaks (mechanic said they crumbled like a cookie when he took them off), manifold, and a few other things I can't remember.
3 weeks later, as I was switching gears, I heard a loud bang, pulled over, and towed my car back to the mechanic.
Apparently, I had "grenaded a piston", and now have a huge hole in my oil pan, and a smaller hole in my engine.

So my question is, what can I do about these pricks?

I called the Used Car Dealership Association of Ontario, but they're useless. All they do is ask the dealership if they wanna pay and co-operate, and have no say over anything.

DO NOT BUY FROM AUTO ISLAND!
