It Depends what you mean by "Best", I think the most multi purpose vehicle in the UK at the moment is definitely either the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S or the Range Rover Sport Supercharge, these two cars fulfilled almost all aspect, they are insanely fast (Impreza level) They have 4 doors and a big boot (Estate) They are both big inside (Luxury cars) They are both well made, both very good handlers and both can go off road, but the problem is they both only offer 5 seats, however the Volvo XC90 V8 may be better if you want 7 seats, personally I can't stand the X5.

It is very subjective question. To me a Toyota Aygo or Mini Cooper D would represent a 'Best' car in my eyes - great combination of fuel economy and CO2 emissions. Yet if I had a limit less source of money and did not mind being taxed more for CO2, I would class an Aston Martin DB9 as the best car.
I guess it depends on your priorities.

They are better now than ever before but the Porsche take a lot of beating in the real car stakes.

Most Japanese cars nissan myself but others good.
Myself well Skylines take some beating mines old but still great so new one with all its modern additions must be really great.

the best cars are German BMW MERC PORSCHE etc fords are crap though Vauxhall are getting better or Lexus are prity good if youve got a bit of money get a BMW 530i or somthing a bit cheaper a Lexus IS or really cheap a Fiat Panda.

I think in experience that any Pontiac is good! my friend rolled in hers and well only came out with a scratch! and yes the car was pretty banged up but she was fine! that is what is important safety over beauty! right!

The Bugatti Veyron is rather amazing. Goggle it to know what i mean.
But i love my ford Anglia with 2ltr pinto and webber cam. it's old but it's my love affair Ii built myself from shell.
