I would like to buy a reliable pick-up truck (used). Chevy's are out, I have had many in fact that's all I've owned. Anybody got any suggestions? It will need to be my primary ride. Ford or Dodge? How many miles can I anticipate on the life of one? And does anybody know how well 2-wheel drive get around in the snow? I always had locking differential or 4-wheel drive on the Chevy's. Thanks.

Particularly in Mumbai the condition of roads are horrible. When we pay huge amount of taxes, particularly road taxes, we are eligible to have good quality of roads. We should decide not to pay any tax if quality of roads are not maintained properly by BMC & State road authority or national highway authority.

I bought this car from a car dealer, I drove the car for 7 months, the car ran hot, I took it to the shop they said the thermostat was stuck, they put a new one in the car, I drove the car for a week and the same thing happen, the thermostat was stuck. the radeator was full of water both times. My moter light stayed on. And then water started comming out of the tail pipe, a week later the heads was blown. I looked at 5 cars on that lot, when I told the man I will look some where else he said he had a 2000 300M in the back, it wasent with the rest of the cars, it was in the back of the building, I looked at it and fell in love, I didnt care what it cost I wanted it and I bought it without a buyers guide or anything, just a contract. If you know anything about the Federal Trade Commission, "Disclosure Statment" you would know what grounds I have to stand on when I take him to small clams court please feel free to add any additional information that will help me in court. Thanks Dennis

I hear it all the time, people make it sound so casual "oh just talk him down" and they get a better deal. But what do you actually say, especially if the car is new and has the sticker price with all of the costs right on it? When is the best time in the buying processes to start this talk?

I have to start looking for a bigger vehicle because I am pregnant with #3 and well needless to say three car seats aren't going to fit too well in the back on my grand prix. For the convenience purpose, I suppose a minivan is the most practical. But I really don't like that "minivan" look! Anyone have any suggestions on vans that might be a good choice?

She and I are stumped on how to do this so her company gets the tax write off for buying the car for business purposes, rather than having it appear that she's buying the car for personal use. Should she simply write a company check for the payoff amount, made out to the finance company and then once the car is paid for, I simply sign the title over to her company?

I'm going to get my first car soon, and we spotted a riviera that looks nice, but i'm not so sure.

Are Riviera's a good beginning car and how much power do they have? Does it have to be a certain type or what?

And when I test drive, how can I tell if it's good or not?

I'm not an ace in mechanics you know.

If you find a site that teaches you though, i'll be grateful.

Help! My girlfriend finally bought the Mini Cooper she had been dreaming of this last saturday and had her new car joy ruined today by the dealer asking for $2300 more!

A quick run down: Found the perfect Mini with all the options last friday night. She went back first thing Saturday morning and tried to make a deal. She got free floor mats:( paid sticker 25700, bought gap insurance, extended warranty & Lojack. Said she didnt want to go over 30k. Walk out just under 32K. $490 a month for 7 years!!

Today, South Bay Mini calls and says the bank didnt approve that amount and she must bring in $2300 or go to her CU.

Is this a joke?! Are there hidden cameras set up waiting to see my reaction?! Are they cheating, lying bastards that need to squeeze $2300 more out of her?

My question: Can they do this and if yes can we give them the car back and not face a cancellation fee, bad credit reference, etc?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.....
