the city auto auction does not allow test drives, does ne1 know of other auto auctions in chicago?

I thought that auctions were wholesale only, meaning that only dealers were allowed? Obviously, the vintage car auctions are the exception here.

Most auctions don't allow you to drive the cars. If they did, then the other people couldn't look at them.

Even if the public is invited, you seriously need to know exactly what you're doing. You need to be a good mechanic, and know a lot about the type of car you're buying. IT is the ultimate "buyer beware" kinda deal.

Auctions do not allow test drives generally. Auctions are a as is where is kind of thing.

I don't think any auction lets you do that anywhere.
