Particularly in Mumbai the condition of roads are horrible. When we pay huge amount of taxes, particularly road taxes, we are eligible to have good quality of roads. We should decide not to pay any tax if quality of roads are not maintained properly by BMC & State road authority or national highway authority.

All of us are "eligible" to have good roads. You are not the only one who has to bear poor roads. But if you cannot do your part of the job(paying taxes) to have good roads, maybe its time you sold your car

This is the tragedy of being a citizen. We pay taxes, and it is mandatory to pay taxes, but we don't seem to have the right to know how our taxes are utilized for development, and whether the right kind of development is taking place. We don't have the power to influence decisions regarding development. Actually all tax payers, whoever has paid tax even once, should form a union and collective give the govt. a run for our money, our taxes.
