Its a 2001 or 2000 Chrysler 300. She has had it for a year and owes about 10,000 on it. I was going to do it because my credit isn't in the condition where I could finance my own car. She says it doesn't matter if my credit isn't great all I need to have is a job, which I do. Anyone ever took over someones payments? And is the transition pretty smooth and simple?

IF anyone has any personal experience please tell!!

I let a person use my name to purchase an automobile and his negative equity on his prior automobile cause the loan to be 45k. The car is worth 25k and the loan is still 40k. The person split and now I am stuck with a 40k loan and a car. I think I am going to call the bank to repo the automobile but what will happen to the difference. I know for a fact that I cannot pay the difference because I am a college student with no job or cash. I have learned a horrible lesson in life and is now paying for it. I need some advice on what to do.

Looking at buying a used car, a four door luxury sedan.

Carfax report says it was a rental car in Illinois. It is one year old, has 27,000 miles on it. Has remainder of 4 year 50K bumper to bumper factory warranty. Body has a few very minor dents, interior has a couple minor blemishes.

Questions are:

1) Would you buy a car that was a rental car?
2) Do they use a lot of salt on the roads in Illinois?
3) How much of a discount versus normal used selling price is reasonable given that it was a rental car?

GM, Ford are going down the tubes because of foreign competition. The public has got it into their heads that the quality of foreign cars are on a higher level. There is more then a little truth to this. I don't know what to do about this. But- why not get rid of car salesmen! Probably the biggest pain in the butt for a new car buyer is having to see the dealership car salesman. Why not lose him? You should not believe anything a car salesman tells you. What if there was an option to purchase the car direct from the factory over the internet and take them, their commissions, dealer prep, rustproofing, and other lies out of the equation. Of course there are some small problems that will have to be solved. Like someone to hand you the keys when you pick the car up. Would it be enough incentive to you, the foreign car buyer, to consider buying an American car if the painful experience of dealing with the salesman and paying their commissions is elimanated?

I drive a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire which I bought for only $500 from my boyfriend's sister. Well, to make a long story short, it's done for.

I'm a freshman right now in Community College and I declined my financial aid because I can manage to pay for school with the part-time job I have.

Now I'm looking into buying a Kia Sportage for $6995. I'm 19 and have no credit. How can I pay for school, cell phone bill, insurance and a new car?

I've thought about a loan but since I have no credit and my parents have bad credit, how will this ever happen?

i am a foriegn student who just came to study in chicago. Due to really low budget, i bought my car from the internet and i got ripped off. the car has some problems which i already spent a large amount of money fixing them, but now it's still not completely repaired. Because i am in urgent need of money to live, so i really want to sell this car in really short time, can anyone tell me which is the best way i sell this car? (dealer? or internet? or sell it to machanics?) i just need some money back ,i don't want to cheat any other buyer and i need to sell it in a short time. And please tell me more details about the steps to sell a car...thanks a lot!!

I have found someone who is selling thier car for a low price. the reason for them selling it for a low price is because he cant use it in denmark, its not the right "specs". I would love to buy this car for that price, but i dont kno how i could make it a secure transaction since its over seas. I live in florida. He said he would pay for the shipping costs. But im pretty sure i would have to pay him before he sends it.

Is there any way that i could make this transaction a secure one??
