Impressive fit and finish, stylish and functional interior, hard-to-beat warranty, standard ABS, side airbags and stability control.

Cons

Down on power and drivetrain refinement versus its competitors.

What's New for the 2006 Kia Sportage

The Sportage EX now features a standard tire-pressure monitor, while all models receive a cabin air filtration system.

The Sportage scores highly on the safety front by including standard four-wheel antilock disc brakes, stability control, seat-mounted side-impact airbags for front occupants, and front and rear head-protecting side curtain airbags.

No longer just a cute little SUV, the 2006 Kia Sportage is now a serious competitor in a class of excellent machines. Its affordably priced combination of carlike ride dynamics, roomy passenger quarters and all-weather capability make for a compelling package.

We were thinking about getting one also.. And yes my mother in-laws friend bought a Kia (don't know which kind) and she likes it very much and has had it for 3 years now. maybe run a stat check on the car to check it's ratings.
Good luck!!
Check and see what the payments of leasing vs. owning are.. We bought a new car about 2 months ago for the 1st time and are so happy we did. We actually bought a Hyundai car becasue their reputation is so much better now and everyomne seems to have one. AND they are cheap.. and only a bit more than the Kia but more of a reputation.. as the Kia's are so new that I would be leary. When cars are new like that I always tend to wonder. My parents bought a Hyundai when they first started out and it was nothing but trouble with things going wrong with it that the warranty didn't cover.. But now people say they are much better cars and they are all over now. Hope htis helps.

the only way you should drive a kia is on lease.. they are horribly constructed and doomed for problems. if you lease you are not responsible for the problems you will have with the kia. just be sure to keep up on the maintanence or you might be blamed for the inevitable failures.

often it does count on the checklist in spite of the undeniable fact that it could additionally count on how badly a team performs out on the sphere. final season, the Nats owned the worst checklist in baseball yet i presumed that the M's have been the worst team final 300 and sixty 5 days because of the fact of ways undesirable offensive production and the undesirable breaks. They regarded approximately as embarrassing because of the fact the Mets have regarded this season. i think of you're instructor is particularly incorrect because of the fact the Nats have looked as though it might have capture extra undesirable breaks than the Mets. The Mets have caught undesirable breaks because of the fact they have had a crap load of injuries. in the event that they have been a healthful team this season, i do no longer think of they might've regarded as undesirable as they have this season.
