'05 Subaru WRX STI est. $21-$25k
'06 Subaru WRX TR (tuner ready) est. $23-$26k w.options
'04-'05 Pontiac GTO est. $21-$24k + a cheap winter beater (around $1,500)

I cant decide what to get, I have a 5 year old son so I like the four doors and AWD on the Subaru and I live in WI. where it snows. But damn that GTO is tight but i'd have to get a beater for the winter cause that GTO can't be that good in the snow. Also I have a poor driving record so im looking to pay around $250 a month, surprisingly the GTO had a lower monthly insurance payment than the Subaru's, which I don't understand. And I will be putting down about 8 grand , so what would you get if you were in my situation???

Has anyone done this before? Do you have to have GREAT credit? My credit isn't terrible. I just have one negative on it. Is the transition smooth?

to get the best deal? A site that explains step by step what information they won't tell you; key questions to ask; how to get a car at or below invoice; how not to be taken advantage of by their finance dept; what information to go armed with, etc.? I just want a few sites(4-6), or one that you know is the best, from each answerer! Thanks.

my bf has an '06 lexus IS that is practically brand new. he needs to sell this asap. how do we go about it? would it be profitable or just to break even to sell to a dealer or car max for example?

he is financing it... and ive gone through the other similar questions on this forum... so would it work to sell it to a dealer? even if it's a couple thousands off- it's ok although we would like to sell it for the payoff amt or more.

scenario-
payoff amt is $31000.... done some research on blue book value-
car is worth about $28-$31k... if i privately sell it, i could possibly make the $31k or more. but it would be time consuming and i wouldnt know where to start. has yahoo autos has any success?

thanks in advance. we are totally lost.
