Depends on the mileage. I had one with 90; and had no problems. Only thing, I changed the brakes often. Other than that, very comfy., smooth, and speedy.

Here is perhaps another way of looking at all those miles.
1 - Does the current owner have all the service records.
If so, ask about major repairs that were required. If it
has had chronic problems with any given system
maybe you want to reconsider.
2 - I believe you said it has 100,000 miles on it. Lots of
people would run from a car like that. The reason,
they think the seller takes care of cars the same way
they do. I wonder if it ever occured to anyone that
the car was actually working the whole time the seller
had the car. For that to happen they HAD to take care
of it. My last 2 cars had more than 215,000 miles on
them and when I bought them they were already well
used. I put 60,000 and 40,000 on those cars
respectively. They both still ran when I sold them.

I just recently traded in my 1997 Grand Prix GT. I owned the car from new till now, 2006. I put 122,000 miles on that thing. I absolutely loved that car. It was my baby. It ran so good, never missed a beat! It was hard getting rid of it, but...I really wanted a 4x4 for where we live.
I recommend getting the 2001 Grand Prix youre wanting. Itll be a good car. Get it all checked out and get fixed what may need fixed. Youll love the car.

I rented one once in 2001 and it was very good. Fast and roomy. Anyway get it checked by your mechanic.
