You say you're in the market for a new bike but the bank is limiting the loan to the KBB value. The blue book value is for used bikes not new ones.

I'd shop around for a better bank myself. They might not be all that interested in loaning money for motorcycles and it's their way of blowing you off.

Wh y would the bank lend you moneyy based on KBB? KBB is for USED vehicles first off. Secondly..if the bank thought you were credit worthy of loaning money too, they would make more money in the long run to lend you a higher amount, because then you have to pay more back overall.

you can't it's a motorcycle not a car! See it's a luxury item they care less and won't lose money to sell one. If you can't afford it you can't get it. Sorry dude I had to put three grand down for my first bike...you still have to consider tax title license fees and doc fees then if you want an extended warranty. My best friend sells bikes...I know the owner of the shop, I hang out with his son...best deal I got $9450 ($1,500 off) a Hayabusa. Most bikes don't have a lot of markup in them so there is no way to get them to sell it to you for less...consider getting something used or try to finance through the manufacturer (they are normally more lenient than a bank) even try a credit union.

Shop around if you see a motorcycle cheaper but not in your price range go to another that is selling it for more then the first one and say but I can get it cheaper from such and such. That always works for me.
Also you can also buy second hand.
