Most will not let you sell the car back. According to state law, of course. I lost my job, in 2 months, and in NJ there is a clause if you sign it and buy it, if you go out of work for Physical Reasons, they will pay your payments, til you are back to work. But, if you loose a job, well, you should get some type of unemployment. If not, you can try selling it on your own, or trading it in, with a co signer, for an older car, with lower payments? Plus, you have to have HIGH HOPES, as you can get a job, tomorrow! Get those Resumes out there and online, and work it! I did it, and I got a job before my Severance pay! It was cool, as I had a paid vacation, by my old job, and my new job, was cool and very stupid (as the people, lol). Now, I am home, no money, as I got hit by a SUV, walking across the crosswalk near a school. So, one day you are fine, and the next you could be worse! As, I need surgery, almost a year now, fighting with my car insurance co., eventhough I didn't drive (it is like that in most states, ask your car insurance.......hope you don't get Concentra for the PIP helper. They pay for NOTHING!)
Just get those Resumes out there, now, and if they are giving you a Severance, you could take off some time, to start, if you have the extra money, or you could work and make double or more of the people! So much good stuff could happen! Look under Monster for Jobs, as I know of friends that have gotten jobs, and then, call all your old jobs, to see if they have a position open, or ask an old friend from that job (like I have done)
You have a lot of GREAT POSSIBILITIES! You are doing great by thinking on what to do. Keep that car and get that big job! My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep us updated, as I know you can do it! Hugs~

If you lose your job....... You just get another one.
It doesn't mean that you are not able to work. You still have to pay all previousely incurred bills.
You didn't rent a car for 2 weeks ... you bought it !
Life does not come to a halt when you lose a job. In fact, more often than not, your next job will be better.
Start looking now for another job & stop worrying about how you'll pay your bills-----
Enjoy your new car. Enjoy LIFE ! it doesn't end with the loss of a job !

They will buy it back but once you drive the car off of the lot that car loses alot of its value so if you paid 25,000 2 weeks ago they may only give you 20,000 or so :( Sorry sweetie
