I think I am going to purchase a 2003 Acura TL, but I am worried it isn't a better deal than a new Malibu.

That acura is the best car I have ever owned. I have 183,000 on mine and it runs like the day I bought it new. You will be much happier with the acura in the long run than the chevy.

If they cost the same money, I would get the new one for the warranty and price. I would only get the 03 Acura if the price is good, you are buying used and you know what they say, if you buy used you buy other people's headaches.

By the way, they are very different cars to compare, one is a sedan and the other is more sporty. If you like the Acura, look also for a Honda, they are basically the same car but not so overpriced.

It's not so much which is the better deal -- it's which is the better vehicle. The Acura is a top-quality vehicle while a Chevy Malibu is mediocre at best. It's like comparing apples and oranges - they are just not vehicles in the same class.

Think of the warranty....the 07 has a great one but the 03 doesn't. Not to mention that you most likely won't know the service history for it like you would with a brand new car.
