I am aware all Ford and GM products contain edrs. Some or all Chrysler products contain edrs. I've never bought a new foreign car before, but I'm ready to screw the US makes if they insist on forcing these spy devices on me.

Do you think that it's a risk to buy a car after it has been turned in after a lease? Let me rephrase the question: what is less risky to buy: the car that was traded in or turned after lease had expired or was used as a rental car at the dealership?

So I'm going to test drive a car tomorrow and the seller already has the car payed off so it's his. He's asking $17,000 for it. Thing is that people already want to buy it. I want o seal the deal by gigving him a $1,000 check that's refundable. I want the contract to say somehting like "Check refundable if car is not purchased" or something like that. I'm getting a loan to get the car but I just want to make sure the car doesn't get sold. Thank you for your time.

I have done a lot of research and I've read tons of car buying guides so I'm pretty well prepared for the expected negotiations. Extra tips are always welcomed though. But I was wondering if I need to take anything with me, besides my checkbook and driver's license the day I go to purchase?

If you were shopping for a car and several dealers had the same car, appx. the same mileage and condition, and same asking price, what would make you purchase from one dealer over another?

I finally found the car that I want included with 20 inch rims for 10k. THe only thing is it has 110k its a fully loaded 2000 Lincoln LS and lincolns are good cars. My dad put 300k on one of them. Does it really matter if it has high mileage? I have been looking for months and I finally found what I want. What do you suggest?

I put my car for sale with a garage and had a verbal agreement on the sale price. They sold it for more than the price due to me ( which is fine ) but then and gave me the money less their charges for repairing it at their garage. They didn't ever clear it with me and there's nothing in writing.

I'm considering buying a car through ebay but wondered what others have to say that have done it already. Has anyone had any bad experiences and does ebay help resolve these issues?
