Wait until the last two weeks in October, then go shopping for this year's model, 2006. The dealers are trying to get rid of current year models so they can fill their lots with next year's models. Also, late October is near the end of the month and the end of the quarter, and dealers are trying to move product in order to improve the sales totals for the month and the quarter. Waiting until the end of December is too late; all the current year models will be gone.
