germany i gotta say....with porsche, audi, mercedes-benz,BMW & volkswagen...all world class cars...though japan does rival them with great japanese cars from mazda,nissan,subaru,toyota& mitsubitshi (sorta for both).
australia builds sum great cars too...Ford falcon, Holden Commodore real head-turners and well built...i do know that the US builds the worse cars though(china is even worse)

Countries dont make cars, companies do :)

Used to be Germany, Japan for performance and efficiency.
Italy for design and speed.

But now all those companies are merged up and spread all over

America, their cars are built to last are safe and won't crush on impact like alot of **** other countries produce. Germany is not far behind, when it comes to quality affordable vehicles.

America....whether you like Ford, GM, DCX, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes, Hyundai, etc...they're ALL built in America. They all have plants here. Likewise, Ford, GM, and DCX all have plants elsewhere in the world...Europe, Asia, S. America...
