I am aware all Ford and GM products contain edrs. Some or all Chrysler products contain edrs. I've never bought a new foreign car before, but I'm ready to screw the US makes if they insist on forcing these spy devices on me.

EDRs have become ubiquitous. You'll have to buy someting older to avoid them.

Some jurisdictions allow this information to be subpoenaed, some do not.

Think of the cheapest new car ever. And if your thinking about foreign cars don't get a hyundai or a kia, they suck, seriously they suck, they're unreliable and they will always be breaking down.
