will the car accelerate faster with a stock transmission when shifting from 1 to 2 to 3 to D, instead of just flooring it on D?

I llive in Japan and they are taught always to back into a space rather than reverse out of one ..

Okay, So I got into an accident the other night :-(, pulled out onto the highway making a right, there was a huge snowbank to the left of me obstructing my view so it was hard to see, it looked clear so I pulled out and bam, struck by an oncoming car. I believe they are going to say its my fault and I believe my car may be declared totaled. I have a reconstructed title, is that going to affect their decision to declare it totaled, and if they do declare it totaled will it affect the amount of money I recieve? The only thing really wrong is the front driver side door, but it hit the bar inbetween the two doors a little so I think it may be structural damage. Thanks.

The air filter is wet -- with gas possibly. I don't think this is a good sign. The thing is only 3 months old. When you turn the key, you get the electrical sound of starting, but it doesn't seem to get any gas. There is a small hose (with a small white connector piece) coming from the very bottom of what I think is the carb ... but there is no obvious place to run it to. I'm open to any suggestions. I don't even know what kind of things to look for.

Someone keeps scratching my car, i kept count of each scratch and its getting worser and worser. I don't know if its occurring at work or at my house. I want to install a hidden camera but i have no idea how these things work? Will someone be kind enough to introduce me to a hidden camera that is affordable and easy to install. Are cameras usually installed in the car or outside? i wish it was inside because i can't buy two and install them outside my work place and house, someone will probably steal it and sell it on eBay.

oh and something that is reachable at like a local electronic place not online because i need it quick before they scratch my car's right side:(
