I have a 1985 Dodge pickup that keeps eating up the voltage regulators, put one on last night and it was gone this morning about 8 miles down the road. I had to put 2 battries in it so it keep up to the stereo, but when I put the new one in I did not use the stereo at all so I know that the is not the problem, When I hooked up the second battery I just connected it's positive to the first ones positve, and ground both of them to the engine block, I have had this problem even before I had to add second battery, any info would be greatly appreciated as I am getting frustrated with it now.

Which one of the trucks would you buy and why, I know that the F-150 tows and hauls more, but the tundra has more power. The ford is a more proven model and the tundra isn't. So which one would you buy and why.

pushing in on the button at the end of the signal indicator lever,does not affect it any....the transmission does seem to be shifting a little hard out of second gear or so.

the bottom hose of the radiator goes to the water pump not sure if thats why the bottom hose is cold it gets warm however after driving it then stopping at a store or parking at my house with the engine off .i flushed my radiator hoping that would solve the problem not sure if it did the hose was warm while running but my temperature gauge goes to about 150 then the needle drops to 140.im thinking also the thermostat might be stuck open .im just wondering if i hurt anything by doing the flush system .ive had good heating in my car when the bottom hose was cold though

My car is soon going into repossesion.
they gave me a dead line 23rd , and i am desperately looking for a job . anyway , i have 200 dollars in my acct. I was thinking of paying the 200 dollars for my insurance. which i was lever late for paying . and then hope that i get a job and pay the 425 dollars which i am 30 days past due , payment on the 23rd..

do you think I should just not pay the insurance this month , and
let them bill me for a fine , than let my car go into repossesment ?

if i dn't pay for it , i will have atleast 200 in my bank and then I could hopefully ask my mom ( which i dn't wanna do ) for the rest ( another 225 , total 425 for the CAR ) till i get a paycheck .

The whole front end of my car is pretty crunched in and my air bag light came on, but the airbags didnt deploy. My car is only valued at about $10k right now....what is your guesstimate of the damages? Please help...I cant stop thinking and wondering about it.

happens when i turn sharp and sometimes when i stop really fast. oil pressure comes back up after a few seconds. have replaced oil pressure switch and did not change.

I have a 2004 Ford Focus and I have had if for a year now. Recently it has been idling really high and making things vibrate in the car..like my change in the ash tray. I took it into the recommendend auto repair place and they couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle, but of course a hose broke and tons of other things were wrong and they wanted to charge me to hook it up to a machine. What can I do?

Two days ago I got in my car and the overhead light was on. (I have three overhead lights and this one has to be pushed on the right side to turn it on, and on the left side to turn it off.) Anyway I turn it off and think nothing of it.

Last night I made sure all of the lights were off before I went inside. I always lock my doors, and I am the only one with a set of keys. This morning when I go out to my car, the light is on again. I played with the switch a little to make sure it wasn't loose or broken... it wasn't.

This evening my husband and I go to papa johns to pick up a pizza. I am the first to get in the car and the light is on yet again... I explained what was happening to my husband and he said it was probably a glitch or malfunction. Anyway he goes into papa johns to get the pizza while I wait in the car. A few minutes later the switch clicks and the light turns on. There was nothing around me, and I wasn't even near it. It is turning on whether the car is on or not..

Ok, not sure which one yet, but I dont think the following cars could be THAT expensive.

92-94 Pontiac Grand Am- 2.3 or 2.4 Liter
90-94 Pontiac Grand Prix- 3.4 is preferred.
90-94 Chevy Cavalier- Any motor

What are the pro's and con's of these three? and yes I know they wont last forever like a honda, but I can work on Gm and Chevy alot easier than I can a honda.

This old pickup is in pretty good shape, and runs ok, but the only gauge that works is the speedometer. It has a full set of gauges, but none show anything that is even close to correct. Is there a fuse? somekind of connector from the sending units to the gauge panel? Is this a printed circuit board?
