if its more than 75-80 % of the value of it they will automaticaly total it out, they wont put that much money in to a car that is loosing value ,so their going to go buy the current value of it including the mileage on it,all this will be considered when they look it over, its up to the insurance adjuster from this point on,good luck on it.

It is all up to the damaged estimate and the value of the car.

Most times now if the air bags have deployed, then they total it. Insurance company's have learned that the hard way.

the general standard for determining if the car is totaled is if the cost to repair the vehicle is more than the kelly blue book value for the vehicle.

An additional two cents: Not sure how old your car is, but junkyards and what not are great places to find parts. Contrary to popular belief, they are usually well organized and they know what they have in stock.

It doesn't sound totaled, but if it is I would consider buying another vehicle and repairing it MAYBE. most of the time Totaled also means it's lost some of it's safety.

If the car will cost more to fix than the KBB value it will be totaled and if it can't be fixed it will be totaled, normally if there is major frame damage the car will be totaled.

The insurance adjuster.
If it will cost more to fix than the blue book value it is totaled.

Simple: If the cost of repairs exceeds the actual value of the vehicle.

Impossible to estimate on line. There could be damage to the frame etc. you cant see in person.

the insurance adjuster will figure out if your car is totaled or not and let you know, quit worrying about it as there is nothing you can do now and just be glad you weren't hurt.

It is really up to how much internal damage is done to the engine and radiator.
