aside from tire pressure and general maintenence do you have any tips on economic driving techniques... im thinking along the lines of when best to coast, use of gears, stopping and starting at traffic lights etc.

i have oil leaking when i shut car off ,, oil filter tight and oil plug tight what else could i check ?? leaking alot

Hey guys, here's my problem I am currently looking for a new car I have been driving a manual for a while now but I am finding it a real hassle to drive in heavy traffic situations so hence the reason i have been looking for an automatic car. I was just wondering if people had any ideas of what I should get. I am looking for something sporty, quick, economical on fuel but a car that i can make a real head turner. Have about 12k(aus) to spend. Any ideas ppl?

I am not too happy about giving up the manual but it's just annoying these days.

1987 Ford 1 ton dually w/ 460 engine. Has sat most of the time over the past couple of years. We have replaced the spark plugs and wires. And yes, they are in the proper firing order. This truck starts right up and runs like a raped ape. Most of the time it comes and goes w/o incident. It is used to pull a 4 horse gooseneck trailer and we cannot have it doing this w/ the trailer loaded. It has quit running on us twice now while driving at about 50 mph. At this speed it back fired then just quit running. The rest of the time has been while it is going at about 25 mph. At this speed it just simply quits running. It will crank over but not start. It has been taking about 30 minutes b4 it will start again. Is this an air flow problem, could something have been put in the gas tank? We are at wits end trying to figure this one out.

every time i put the ignition in tho "on" position and i open the driver's door i always get this annoying "beep" sound. i know it's to warn you that your door is open but i already have a light in dashboard telling me that a door is open. so can I cancel the "beep"?? thank you
