Trying to trouble shoot my warped rotors. My dyna seems to drag its pads continually, (not under pressure) and is audible by adjacent fellow riders. I was told this normal for this type of caliper system, but my wifes identical bike does not have this problem. Of course she has stock wheels and I have the aftermarket wheels.

A few days ago my oil light came on. I pulled over and checked the oil, all was fine, and the light has been off since. My maintenence light has changed from green to yellow now. I have my oil changed every 3000 and it is not even half way to that. Does this light come on every so many miles on the odometer and a mechanic needs to turn back. Or do I need to really have some work done? It is running fine. 1993 Acura Vigor, 126k, have had almost 3 years and only 13K of those are mine, changed timing belt on time etc.....Thanks

ABS dash board lights comes on. break pedal funny feeling. Took it to the garage and all the did is take out the fuse and told me not to worry about it. And everyone that I've talked to says the same thing. I drive around with my son in this truck. What is ABS and why don't people want to fix it the right way. I don't mind spending the money. I also mantian my truck to what the book says.

I just had all four original tires replaced at 106,600 miles with good quality Michellin tires. The original tires were in pretty bad shape and a previous shop mentioned strut replacement, but I think that wear-and-tear just took its toll for too long. I have hit a small curb at low speeds (about 10 mph) with the left (driver-side) tires a couple of times, but I think that the struts took the shock without damage because the "wheel to ground" contact performance seemed fine.

With the new tires, the car drives much smoother in every respect and has no pull to either side. They said that they balanced the tires, but I only saw them put the tires on. They said that I should have a front end alignment everytime I put on new wheels.

What does tire balancing entail?
When do you need to get a wheel alignment (front-end or otherwise)?
How do you know when you need to replace the struts?
What issues should be considered when replacing all of your tires?

I saw a pretty nice system at Pull-a-part (junkyard) and thought about getting it. It wasn't corroded or anything and in good shape. Would this be a good move to make since the engine in my 85 lesabre and the Delta 88 are the same thing???
I don't have equipment to check for leaks or anything to test out the used system...Or should I just get a compressor and try that first???

I paid a large sum of money for a car for a friend as they had written off their old one. They have to date not paid me any money back for the car and they are as yet not in possesion of the log book (car reg document in the UK)

Can i confisicate the car as I am in effect the legal owner of the vehicle or do i need to pursue it through the courts (of which it will be futile anyway as the person seems to be severly in debt)?

Difficult to access the tank, quite a bit of taking things appart involved to clear the diesel in it. I know that Diesel dilutes quite well in unleded fuel but I don't know if the carbs on my bike will suffer?

I'm a biker so I use ear plugs to prevent myself going deaf. The kind of plugs I'm using are E-A-Rsoft yellow squishies (the kind you'd find on the RS site). The idea is that they're squeezed, inserted into the ear, then they expand and block out noise.
Problem is they're really not easy to get in my ears. Most of the time the sausage is squished into a ball as insertion into the ear fails.
Maybe there's a certain position, an angle of attack for the plug, that's best suits the opening of an ear? Maybe there's an optimum shape for the squished plug to make insertion easier? Should it simply be squashed or squashed and twisted for extra plug firmness when inserting?

i have an 06 impreza 2.0i hatch and i want to put turbo on it!BUT heres the thing...should i buy an old second hand wrx engine (97-99..02-05)and put that in or should i just buy a turbo kit for the the original engine it has now??? I was told it would cost alot to do an engine swap and plus i would have to get a better and stronger drivetrain! If i decide to just buy the turbo kit, is there one for this model? and is it better to have it changed from SOHC to DOHC before i get it turbocharged?? and is it cheaper to do all this??? rather than buyin the older wrx engine?
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
