I have a 1999 toyota tacoma and whenever it is idling the is a rattle coming from it. Upon further inspection, the pitch and frequency of the rattle changes when put into D, R, N, and Park. I thought maybe a belt too tight at first and a pulley was making the rattle but I dunno......any help?

hi!im going to buy a 99 vw jetta gls 100k miles custome interior well maintained etc. for $2,000. but the problem is he says the mount that hold the engineand tranny broke. is that very bad? how much will it cost me 2 fix? or is this a big issure which could of impacted the engine for a worser problem? please get back to me.

I currently own a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis GS with 56,000 miles on it and have about 3 more years of payments at 288.00 a month. I found a car I like a lot its a 2003 Volkswagen Passat 1.8t with a five speed manual loaded with heated seats etc...with 45,000 miles and a full warranty untill 100,000 miles. My payments would be 290.00 a month for 5 years if I bought the VW. Or I could keep the Grand Marquis. Which car should I get and which one sounds nicer? Thanks for the help!

recently my vehicle transmision has failed an I have gotten an estimate of about 1500 . I tried putting in a salvage transmission in, but it did not work.

now I have decided to return it to the salvage for a refund and use that money to attemp reparing my old transmission

I have all the standard tools such as sockets and wrenches used for motor repair, but I have never opened up a transmission

When i put the new fuse in the fan runs at a constant speed. even when the key is off. I cant shut it off with the control knob. the only way i can shut it off is pull the fuse. What is the problem?? how do i fix it???

i was thinking about doing an engine swap on my 1991 trans am...it currently has a 305 in it with about 240 horsepower...maybe more since i put the exhaust system on, i was looking to swap it out for maybe a 350 or a 383 stroker, any suggestions on where to look, what to get, and whats the cheapest??? thanks

I have a 1986 K Car Lebaron Convertible, the last of the boxy K Cars, and tho it already has 14" original rims on it, I was thinking it would drive/ride a lot better with 15" tires instead.

Does anyone know if 15's will fit a K Car without rubbing the fenderwells? Will 15" MOPAR rims (Plymouth?Chrysler?Dodge) rims bolt on without mods?

My (02) Vauxhall Astra stopped producing hot air from the blowers and I also noticed slight overheating of the engine, followed by the return to an unsually tool temperature. Checked the coolant, and it had all gone (it's been a month since I last checked levels), and did a pressure test to check for leaks. Nothing apparent.

Hot air is back on, and performance seems absolutely fine; only unusual thing is the presence of a very small amount steam in the exhaust emissions.

Is this highly likely to be a problem with the head gasket, or could it be something less serious? I've checked the oil, and that seems nice and clean.

I can't get the new insurance until the end of the month, but then the tax will have expired, and I can't get the new tax disc without the new insurance certificate! I know I could get a 6 month tax disc and then they would be put of sync, but what do I do now?

A friend and I got into an argument over which is the overall better subwoofer. He says the L7 will out pound the IDMAX anyday, which I dont know if thats true or not. I say that the IDMAX will provide huge amounts of bass, but still has a much higher SQ than the L7. Any help is appreciated. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

let's say I lost one ticket long time ago, and I got informed from my future employer my drivers licence is suspended now. I want to find out how much I have to pay for unpaid ticket and pay it, but is this all I have to do? - or maybe there is more like I will have to go to the court or even to jail? When I first start my truck the sound will often cut out for several seconds. After the truck has been on for a minute or so it does not happen. Sometimes its only the speakers sometimes the subs too. The subs usually come on for a few seconds then the speakers follow a moment later. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be? Its a alpine ivad100 running to a kicker zx 350.2 for my sub and a kicker sx 700.4 for my components. In a dodge diesel.
