I went to leave from work, started my car, but the gear didn't move into reverse or any gear. They had to tow my car to the shop and it is there now, has this ever happened to anyone? My car had been running perfectly fine and I've never had any problems with it. I am so worried it is something serious. any advice would be appreciated.

When your're driving, do you sometimes get a sudden urge to run over the people on the pavement, or bump into the car in front of you?! I kinda get that feeling for a second and then i'm back to normal. haha hope i'll never really do it! xD

My speedo doesnt stop going when i park up or stop at lights it even adds milage to the counter, it doesnt show the correct speed when moving, works fine when i first start the vehicle but when i hit a gradiant or speedbump it kicks off, does anyone know what the problem is?

I had my two front tires replaced and now my ride isnt smooth like it was before. Also, when I am making sharp turns it makes a intermittent rubbing noise. Should I have a tire alignment done or a tire balance?

Ever since I was young I've wanted a fast car. Me and my dad talked about working on something together when I was a little bit older. This spring I'll be living at home and commuting to work about 20 minutes away probably every day. I was just wondering what make/model/mileage cars I should be looking for anywhere in the 3-9k range that would be reliable enough to take to work, but something I could easily find parts for and cheaply upgrade. Also, it will have to be decently safe with airbags and have reasonable insurance. The cars I've looked at so far were: some old 944 porches, Nissan 240sx and 300zx, Mazda rx7, some high milage M series BMWs, Acura rsx, Preludes, and a couple supercharged Buicks. Any info/past experiences with these cars or any other cars you think would suit me well would greatly help me in my search. Thanks.

Basically I can no longer switch vents from upper to floor, mixed or defrost; the air only comes out from the upper vents not the defrost or floor vents. The A/C works and heat works just cannot switch the vent setting. Is there an easy way to fix this or am I going to have to take the console panel off? The car is an 03 pontiac sunfire.

y cnt v put in nitrogen instead of simple air in our tyres of our daily routine vehicles as the airplanes have in their tyres??
will it prevent in brsting of tyre or oter type of mishaps due to bursting of tyre at high temprature???

This is a follow up on my last thread, here's a recap. My car was vibrating a bit at high speeds and shuddering quite a bit when I was braking (noticeable past 60km/hr). The garage has let me know that my wheels need to be rebalanced and my front rotors re-surfaced although both of these were fine before my accident. Could my rotors have warped from not being used for 3 weeks? They have suggested this may be the cause and in my opinion this is accident related as I would've been driving it everyday if not for the accident so the rotors wouldn't have warped! Does anyone think I have an argument for the insurance company to pay for this?

So here's how it happened: I drove to a friend's last night & it was the first time in several months that I'd driven my car faster than some 45 mph. As I slowed towards the median to make a left turn, my car stalled (thankfully in the turn lane, not the traffic lane!). So I turned it all the way off, restarted it, but as soon as I shifted to 'drive', it stalled again. It did this a few times, and I stopped trying for a few minutes, then tried again & I was able to shift to 'drive' (and clear the intersection!) with no more trouble. My car got to rest awhile before I went out again, & either stalled or came very close to stalling as I slowed down for stoplights & such; the times that it came close to stalling but didn't, it would run very rough & kind of sputter & vibrate quite a bit until I either came to a full stop or accelerated to a running speed again.

I am painting the bike black and the Rims are white. So i used aircraft remover to take off the white paint. Its smooth and shiny on the lip. But the middle spokes are rough and dull looking.

My truck stalls out on me when its been sitting for more than a couple hours, and it always starts back up, then i drive for a couple seconds and it does it a couple more times for the first 30 seconds of driving. I got a tune up, changed the egnition coils, and the mechanic can't find the problem. (dodge dakota 98 V6 magnum) Any suggestions

I just replaced my stock pipes with Vance & HInes big shots and when I removed the old pipes I didn't noticed the gaskets... are these somehow mounted on the rim of the exhaust ports? thinking I didn't need these I installed the new pipes without new gaskets, I thought the sales rep gave them to me by mistake.... how do you get these out? should they just pop out or what? HELP!!!

I have a 95 neon. The problem started when I crossed the jumper cables in the dark when charging my discharged battery. None of the relays or fuses seem to have blown. I want to know if this wire is simply a plug or if i have to have it rewired.
