Here is a simple test. See if you can get one of your fingernails in the scratch. If your fingernail can get into the groove of the scratch when you run your fingernail across the surface, you are going to need it repainted. Even if you could sand the clear down to the bottom of the scratch and then run a buffer on it, it wont leave enough clear on the color coat to last for very long. See a detail shop. If they can't buff it out, your in for a paint job. Figure at least $200 per each panel scratched, as a MINIMUM amount for paint work.

Not a special product if the paint is worn down to the primer or metal. Go to a body shop and have the car wheeled out proffesionally. If too deep, then a repaint is in order. If your insurance will cover it, i would recomend that you file a police report 1st. then call your insurance company and deal with the repair later. Take pics just in case too.
good luck............

If it didn't go through the paint layer then I would get any polishing compound and compound only the keyed spot. Buffing it off, this will have to be repeated several times to get it buffed right.
then wax the car with a quality wax. like Mothers wet look. I love it. Makes black look wet all the time real glossy.
