Yes there is oil that splashes up from the oil valley where the pushrods are located. This gasket/seal will deteriorate after a while and it will get worse. No exact science for a time frame though. You can maybe add an oil additive such as Lucas. It may slow it down for now, but the only real cure is to replace the gasket/seal.
good luck.....

It would not harm to put in a sparkling gasket. those engines have a regularly happening concern with the intake gasket. it many times shall we coolant leak into the oil. it could additionally enable oil into the intake manifold.

it probably wont stay that way for long. gaskets will expand and leak and probably get worse. the only thing i can tell you is to replace the gasket. replacing it is difficult but it will cost you more money to keep replacing oil, plus having an oil leak will cause engine damage.

Probably not the intake gasket as there are no oil lines that are sealed by it, It just happens to pool on the intake. I would liik into replacing the Valve cover gaskets.

you probably have a valve cover gasket leaking (easy fix) you might just try tightening up the bolts around it. (don't snap them off) i don't think oil runs through this area of the engine. if you had a leak from the this gasket being bad it would most likely be water or air. good luck

If it's leaking oil, it could be leaking air too. Best replace it.
