when i hit about 25mph i hear this revving sound that gets louder with more speed. if i jerk the wheel to the right or turn right or go along a curve towards the right, it subsides entirely. i am thinking alignment? the guy at the shop says it might be a bearing? what do you all think?

I have a 2001 mazda Tribute. The problem is that when I got into the car this morning, the key would not turn. I have tried pulling the steering wheel to the left and right and it does not unlock the ignition. I'm a big guy so its not that I'm not pulling hard enough. The wheels are pointed straight ahead, and the car is on flat ground. When you stick the key (I also tried the spare- no luck) into the ignition, its as if you are sticking the wrong key in. It simply will not turn. I've never had a problem before with it. Does anybody have any ideas? They would be much appreiciated.

I purchased one of those performance modules from ebay that is suppose to give me better mileage and performance. Is it a good idea to install it? Will it hurt the engine? And, where is the intake air temperature sensor (IAT) it needs to be connected to?

All of a sudden, the fan on my AC/heat is randomly stopping then
turning itself back on. It doesn't matter what the setting is and
there doesn't seem to be any reason for it to turn on or off. Any
advice would be appreciated.

My scooter/moped is about 2 years old and has about 3800 miles on it. It was sticking last fall when I put it up for the winter so I took it apart the other day & lubed the cable (both at the handlebar & at the carb.) It only seems to stick when I've been riding it for at least 5 to 10 miles wide-open-throttle. I always run wot because I want to get all the speed that I can out of it. When it sticks, I can't turn the throttle down/forward without working it back & forth & kinda forcing it forward. It doesn't seem to stick unless I run wide open throttle. I can't afford to have it serviced right now & would really appreciate it if someone can help me figure out what's wrong with it. Thanks

if the tranny gets overfilled and it gets into the mechanisms will it cause the tranny to sift weird, or how will i know if it has hurt the tranny? I recently had an engine put in my car and there was nothing wrong with it b4. now it shifts bad. idles at high rpms. sometimes driving it feels like its in neutral. it leaks tranny fluid now, but i thinkits coming out of the bottom of the dipstick, top of the tranny because my dipstick is loose but i really can't tell where it comes from. it drips and runs along the bottom of the pan. have suggestions on anything. thank greatly appreciate it.

I bought a permatex polishing kit and it did help briefly but they clouded up again. I'd like to replace both bulb and cover lens. What is the best choice of replacement headlight assembly? There are several kinds out there and some are quite expensive. The newer Tacoma's have a different style of headlight and that apparently did away with the problems. Thanks.

I currently drive a corvette, and I'm looking to get into motorcycle riding. I need a bike that's easy to start on, maybe as small as a 300. I want something cheap and used so it won't matter as much if I drop it, or put it down. What should I look for? How tough is it to get my M license?

Gossip is she's sending me a certified letter from a attorney. I live in Michigan. HELP PLEASE

A family member's car broke down while visiting a friend in another city. The transmission had gone. Our family member had to tow the van to the mechanic, and was told the shop was replacing the tranny with a rebuilt. Well, the rebuilt didn't work. So the shop replaced it again, incl. a 3 month warranty in the $1200 cost.

The warranty is up in 2 weeks, and the transmission just gave out. Our family member called the shop, who said our family member must tow it to them in their city. The cost will be over $300, and they have under 2 weeks to get the money, and get it towed there or pay all over again locally for another new transmission.

Does this sound fair? Is it just dumb luck, or is the mechanic in any way resposible, since it will be the 2nd transmission that didnt work? Do we have any alternatives to this dilemma?
