if the tranny gets overfilled and it gets into the mechanisms will it cause the tranny to sift weird, or how will i know if it has hurt the tranny? I recently had an engine put in my car and there was nothing wrong with it b4. now it shifts bad. idles at high rpms. sometimes driving it feels like its in neutral. it leaks tranny fluid now, but i thinkits coming out of the bottom of the dipstick, top of the tranny because my dipstick is loose but i really can't tell where it comes from. it drips and runs along the bottom of the pan. have suggestions on anything. thank greatly appreciate it.

If the point interior the pan reaches the mechanism it is going to foam up and do all sorts of undesirable issues. you are able to pump the surplus out with a one million/4" plastic hose interior the direction of the dipstick tube.
