I have a 1996 j-body sedan with a 2.2 engine. I have an external leak in my head gasket (leaking coolant), that apparently is not affecting compression and there is no coolant/oil mix. I narrowed down my choices to 2 main options for fixing it:

1. Have it fixed locally for about $1000 including gasket kit, resurfacing, labour and tax.

2. Have it fixed by a friend who is a Toyota tech for about $500 (parts/labour/tax). But I would need to drive the car for about 300 hwy kms, and would likely not be able to have the cylinder head resurfaced.

Any thoughts? Would also appreciate suggestions of other associated repairs/maintenance that I should consider (timing chain and tensioner were done 40,000km ago, coolant changed 10,000 km ago).

I financed a truck that I no longer need. I am currently in a lease that will expire in 12 months (on another vehicle). I had the great idea of leasing my truck to someone for 12 months after which I'd take the truck back and keep it as my primary vehicle. Basically I can't afford two car notes, but I don't want to end my lease early, nor do I want to sell the truck. What do you think? Is this legal? And would you enter into a transaction like this?

I was on a longhaul Korean Air flight recently and their inflight entertainment was absolutely brilliant, particularly their music collection. Does anyone know how or if I can order a CD from the airline of their inflight audio compilation? Perhaps a KA employee might be able to answer this?

We have changed the water pump because it was leaking, and also installed two seperate thermostats trying to get it to heat up. also, removed the heater hose from the water pump to make sure we had a flow of water

I have four 5-gallon gas cans full of regular unleaded gas for my generator (in preparation for a hurricane that didn't hit). I bought it in mid-August '06. Now that hurricane season is over until June, I know that I can't (or shouldn't) store it until next year.

I have a 2006 Lexus RX330 that has a sticker on the gas tank that says "PREMIUM UNLEADED ONLY". Can I pour the regular unleaded in to my car just this once? If so, what if the tank is partially filled already with premium unleaded? Can they be mixed? Thanks for any advice. Hate to have to dump all this expensive gas at the local recycler.

I parked my car at the store about 2 weeks ago..... Came out and the car did not start. No clicks, nothing. Tried to jump it off and nothing happened. I went back the next day to try jumping it again... nothing.... but this time I left the jumper cables on for about 20 minutes. The car started up. No problems until 2 days ago. Stopped to get gas. Paid. Came back out and my car wouldnt start again. So I tried jumping it off for 20 minutes again and got nothing. I have a battery charger/tester and it says the battery is full and its good. Alternator was just replaced 2 months ago, so Im ruling that out as well. Cables are good. I checked ground wires already. It seems like something is draining the power. Because not only does it not start, but none of the lights or anything electrical is working. But occasionally it will get enough pwer to turn on the clock or a dome light when I open the door. So then I try to start it but nothing happens and everything shuts off again.

the pedestrian ran for the pavement, but i got him.

the accident was due to another man narrowly missing me.

i had to turn the car sharper than necessary owing to an invisible lorry.

there was no damage to the car, as the gatepost will testify.

the car occupants were stalking deer on the hillside.

i told the other idiot what he was and went on.

a bull was standing near and the fly must have tickled him as he gorged my car

she suddenly saw me, lost her head, and we met.!!!!!

i ran into a shop window and sustained injuries to my wife.!!!!

a dog on the road braked, causing a skid.

i left my car unattended for a minute and, whether by accident or design, it ran away.

wilful damage was done to the upolstery by rats.

if the other driver had stopped a few yards behind himself the accident would not have happened.

three women were talking to each other and when two stepped back and one stepped forwards i had to have an accident !!!!!

If I drive any slower than 30mph my speedo will not register. Needle won't move at all. Any faster than 30mph and it operates normally. My ABS light is also on, could these two problems have something in common? This for my 2000 Ford Ranger 5spd regular cab.
