I have four 5-gallon gas cans full of regular unleaded gas for my generator (in preparation for a hurricane that didn't hit). I bought it in mid-August '06. Now that hurricane season is over until June, I know that I can't (or shouldn't) store it until next year.

I have a 2006 Lexus RX330 that has a sticker on the gas tank that says "PREMIUM UNLEADED ONLY". Can I pour the regular unleaded in to my car just this once? If so, what if the tank is partially filled already with premium unleaded? Can they be mixed? Thanks for any advice. Hate to have to dump all this expensive gas at the local recycler.

Go ahead and use it. It'll run slightly rough (if that) and that's all. Two months old is fine as Gas doesn't start to degrade for about 6 months.

Next time you fill your cans, add some fuel stabilizer (available at any auto parts store) and it should be good up to two years.

Yes it will most likely cause engine damage, alot of japanese vehicles are designed for Hi octane gas and will detonate causing engine damage if incorrect fuel is used, ignore all those people that have said the ecu will compensate for this as the ECU only has a fixed range it can adjust timing etc by and it too is tuned for high octane gas. All I can say is use the premium. Its ok to use premium in cars that specify regular(there is no real point though) but not vise versa

Yes...you use your regular unleaded gas in you premium gas car....you may or may notice your car having a little ping or run on when you shut off the ignition if you do you can go to any gas station and by a can of octane booster for a couple of dollars and add that to your tank of gas....thereby boosting the regular gas octane to the premium level

I wouldn't. Save that old gas for your lawnmower or something else. Gasoline does have a shelf life and I would test it in something somewhat inexpensive first before dumping the whole lot into anything. As for your vehicle, I wouldn't do anything that would alter the performance of such an expensive vehicle.

Don't do it. You have a very expensive vehicle. You run the risk of damaging the engine and losing the warranty coverage to save a few dollars.
You would be better off saving the gasoline, unless it is illegal to do so.
There is a reason for the warning label. Heed it.

No... don't do it. You'll notice a downfall in performance in the future. Put the good stuff in it... it wont be worth the pennies saved when your car $hits the bed on you.

No, dont use it.

Your engine will "ping" and you could damage the valves.
