I really don't think an intake valve has anything to do with heat. Heat comes from the water in your engine..

Someone has lied to you. If you have no heat then it could be many things. This time of year the thermostats start going out, This can cause lack of heat, as well as other things. A trained mechanic will have to look at the car to diag.
