Chris, can this Balancer, (if damaged), also damage the engine if not replace some time? I have mustang gt 5.0 and I feel a little vibration when a RPM gets over 4,000.

I was just curious...if your car is on but you are parked or at a red light, are you still using gas? Also, if you just turn the key to the first switch for the radio to be on but not the car, is that using gas or what is actually on? Cuz sometimes if I just have it turned for my radio my car will start to heat up (my really old car I used to drive will sometimes overheat), and I have heard a lot of different things about if you use gas if your car is on but you aren't going. (Please no criticisms as a lot of people usually get, I'm just asking a question)

Mine is the 1947 Willys Jeep - it was tough, cheap, easy to repair. I wish I could get a good one today without paying an arm and a leg.

I have a 1998 Subaru Outback Impreza. The check engine light is on (it has arbitrarily gone on and off since i got it at 75 K miles). It now has 160 K miles on it but runs great. Recently, it has starting idling around 500 rpm. It flares to 2000 when i turn it on, which I have been told is good and normal, but it is supposed to idle at around 750 according to my mechanic. What causes a low idle speed on this vehicle?

I have an F150 and I have a hard time opening the tailgate, I have to lift the handle several times and really push up on it for it to open. What is an easy way to fix a spring or whatever it is I have to fix. Or should I just get a new handle?

I recently changed my fuel injector on my 97 ford Taurus. Now my car feels like I'm pushing the gas when I"m not. Even at a stop light it feels like i'm pushing the gas and the brake at the same time. Could it be air leaking out of the manifold or the injector is giving to much gas or any thing else

I have a '92 Cadillac DeVille, with a 4.9 ltr V8. My car has recently started idling very high, from the moment I turn it over. When I start it, it revs really loudly too. The worst part is that while i'm driving, it tends to accelerate all on it's own, and my gas mileage is horrible!!

Any ideas on what's causing this? or what I can do?

I just brought my car in for an oil change and lube service. The place I go to is pretty good about service and repairs in that I can drop my car off in the day, and pick it up in the early evening for service other than oil changes.

However, I noticed that several times (today included), the mechanic would call and say something like "We did the oil change, but noticed the other fluids could use a change -- coolant, transmission, power steering."

When they say that, are they being good mechanics by watching out to keep the cars they serve in tip-top shape or are they just giving a soft sell to make extra services?

Would love to hear from other customers and if you work(ed) as a mechanic and have any inside knowledge. Thanks.

I just had a car stereo installation done. After I left, I started experiencing this problem. The speakers are polk momo 5 1/4s and 6x9s getting powered from a jvc kd g510 head unit. Everything appears to work fine at lower volume levels, but once I turn it up high (not really loud or even coming close to distortion), the speakers cut out so all I can hear are the subwoofers. The place that installed it tested the speakers with a volt meter at the connections on the back of the head unit and said they all checked out so he believes its a problem with my head unit itself. By the way the speakers are brand new, the head unit was taken out of my old car, but worked fine. Can someone please help me with this and give me ideas of what could be wrong. I'm going back to the place tomorrow and I would like to have a list of things for him to check since he seems to be set on the fact I have a faulty head unit. Thanks
