I have an F150 and I have a hard time opening the tailgate, I have to lift the handle several times and really push up on it for it to open. What is an easy way to fix a spring or whatever it is I have to fix. Or should I just get a new handle?

grease the latches that hold the tailgate shut. if you breake the clips, most dealers stock them

New inside handle assembly is best but sometimes a good lubing of the inside mechanism with white grease does wonders. Just remove the 10 torx bolts off the access cover on the tailgate and get in there....

Take the access cover off your tailgate and watch what the mechanisms are doing when you pull the handle. They just may need lubing on the mechanisms or the latches on the sides. There is a chance that the rods inside the tail gate could have bent.If so straighten them and hook them back up.
