The reason I ask is because I noticed scrolling text coming across the display in my girlfriend's 2006 Honda Civic EX (4dr) when she was listening to a store bought Jessica Simpson CD.
This is the only CD that I've seen do this, so there must be some kind of special encoding on it. Other CD's played on the same stereo just say "TRACK 1, TRACK 2" etc. This is the factory stereo and I know it can read MP3 CD's as well as standard ones.
Anyway, I thought it would be pretty cool if I could get it to work like this when I burnt my own CD's so that I could search through the tracks and see what artist / song was about to play. I realize you can buy those labels, but I prefer not to use them for two reasons.
First, if you look at your owner's manual they warn you not to use labels on CD's played on a car stereo because it can curl up and get jammed inside when you go to eject. Second, the text has to be pretty tiny to be able to list 20 songs or more on a disc.
