nothing is very safe when they roll over.

rather than trying to find the safest one when they roll over, find the one least likely to roll over. volvo, BMW, porsche, and mercedes(on the g500) make the most rollover resistant SUVs. None are very cheap though.

heres the best idea though: Dont drive like an idiot. You should NEVER run into a situation where a rollover becomes inevitable.

Considering the purpose of the SUV(to drive it off the road into the grand canyon) ,i think the best for you is to get an M1-Abrams tank from the US Army

I don't have much experience with SUV's despite owning one, but what I CAN tell you is that in terms of roll over safety your best bet would be with a BMW X5 or Volvo XC90. Those 2 come to my mind off the top of my head. I own an 03 X5 and it'd be able to comfortably say that its design is well suited for the probability of a roll over.

My husbands grandparents have the Hyundai SUV..the Santa Fe..

They got rear ended, pushed into another SUV (lincoln), And the firebird that caused the accident was underneath them..and there suv was hanging on barely. They both came out of the wreck with Minor injuries for how bad the crash was. (and considering there age too..there fine!)

then they got another after that..and his grandma was tboned..and shes perfectly fine had minor injuries!

they swear by the hyundais...They seem to be excellent for safety

I have a photo of the crash if anyone wants to see

There are no test measuring how safe is the truck in case it rolls over. Obviously options like ABS and Vehicle Stability Control will help to lessen the chances of rollover. Curtain airbags can reduce chances to be injured in case the truck rolls over, and I guess one of most important is the use of seat belts - many people are killed while being thrown out of the car because they don't use seat belts.

in case you may discover the money for to hire an SUV you may discover the money for to stay in a protracted stay hotel whilst apartment searching. hire a greater reasonably priced motor vehicle or basically plan to stroll and stay in a hotel. you somewhat shouldn't circulate until eventually you have a place already coated up. attempt apartment searching online first, slender down your options, and line up some interest interviews in case you do no longer already have a job to circulate to. circulate smart, and you will no longer ought to go through the indignities of sound asleep in a motor vehicle. Dallas is an quite unforgiving place to be "homeless" so I advise you learn it nicely earlier you come back to a decision to circulate that path.
