I own a repair shop in Tennessee and have worked on a lot of these cars,,i recommend using a good synthetic oil in it,,also ,,on the plugs the Bosch platinum,,seems to be the best plug i have found to hold up,,under any running condition you can put it through,,i have a good business ,,and all my customers seem to be satisfied with the choices i make for there cars,,my oil of choice is Mobil one,,i is really good oil,,and as far as the plugs,,Bosch will out perform,,outlast,,and meet any requirement that is needed for your car,,they also come with a good warranty too,,i have used them for 20 yrs,,and never had a complaint from them yet,,i always use the best i can use,,because i have to make a honest living,,and i cant do it by recommending bad parts to people,,i hope you find this help full.

your best bet is to go to the ford house and get the right plugs. i have a 02 f150 and you have to use the ford plugs or the engine could have problems . the plugs they have are made special for your vehicle so it will fire right with the eletronic ignition. if it is a older car pre 1990 you then can get away from dealer stuff but if it has platinum plugs best bet is get them from the dealer also get your wires there also i know they are expensive but it will save you money in the long run my mechanic tells me that what ever oil that the oil filler neck says to use is the oil you need to stay with cause ford designed the engine to run that oil hes been with ford for 25 years and i trust him likewise if it is an older car royal purple is very good but expensive

Motorcraft. There were 2, 4.6 engines produced that year for the Mustang, a 2 valve and a 4 valve. Each takes its own plug. Part # for 2V AGSF-32-PM Part # for 4V AGSF-32 WM These are the replacing numbers from the manufacturer and might differ from whats written on your original.

If it's one of the 'new' Mustangs, I'm unsure. But most recommended for all engines is: Older cars deserve 'platinum' plugs, new wires. Optional if the car is new.
As for oil, winter time is when you use 'lighter weight' oil, such as "Castrol GTX" 10 w 30 for most engines and in hot weather/summer, use '30 w 50' "Castrol GTX".
Just take good care of it,
Mack

it depends on the year of the car. if it is an older model stay away from platinum spark plugs. they only work well if you have electronic ignition. best suggestion is to get a part number from ford. ford cars like ford parts. chevys like chevy parts. i am a parts manager. my kia only gets kia.
