I drive a truck with anti-lock brakes and am considering buying a different car which does not have anti-lock brakes. I'm not an expert on cars so I don't know how their different. Do cars without anti-lock brakes have a tendency to skid if you need to stop suddenly? If your car doesn't have anti-lock brakes what happens if you need to stop suddenly ... will you wind up getting into an accident? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I say Corvette especially Z06 because the performance beats the Viper in almost every category and it costs over 25 grand less.

in california it is legal to share lanes however you can only go a slight faster than the car i believe its 20 mph if it is at a dead stop and when in movement i think its 15 and you shouldn't go more than the posted speed to pass someone that will be a ticket for sure. I split lanes as a matter of fact 3 chp on bikes passed me the other day on the 170 n i was white lining and seen them in the rear view and allowed them to pass they all thee gave the peace sign to me and my harley. I also spoke with a sherrif and he said it wwas what i said above so it comes from a good source and this is only in the state of california peace people

My mechanic test drove the car and of course it never stalled. I've changed the fuel filter. I've always used regular fuel. Do I need premium fuel?

on my 2000 plymouth neon?? They have 185/65/14 but it has absolutely no clearance and bottoms out often. Can I put a taller tire on the rims and not worry about the gears messing up?

It doesn't sound like road noise (new tires), it's more like the tranny, but in a turn it goes quiet. The noise is constant and when excelerating it gets louder & louder. Any ideas?

I just dont understand this ridiculus saftey measures. If you ban muslims from flying you prevent terrorism, im not saying all muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are muslim. I wouldnt wanna get on a plane with a muslim. Its scary. You cant have beer on a plane how sucky is that.

My car has an automatic transmssion. When I start it, reverse works fine, but when I put it in drive it does not go into gear. The engine just revs. I then shift into part and back into drive and the gear engages. Once the car warms up it drives absolutely fine. Is this is a transmission problem, can anyone give me some more specifics? Will it get worse? How much will it cost to repair? Any help is appreciated.

The car is a 1997 Chrysler Sebring.

Would it be a good idea to shut down all air traiffic on the anniversary of the 911 tragedies to honor the victims of that horrific day in 2001?
Or would that bring joy and glee to the extremist Muslims to know that they have won in some shape or form?
Who can erase the memory of all those Arabs and Muslims in the Middle East dancing ,clapping ,laughing ,and singing in jubilation when the Aircrafts hit American landmarks.
What can we do to honor the victims? Make another National Holiday?

I know enough about mechanics and how engines work. I know how turbos work in gasoline engines, the fuel/air charge is in the cylinder and the turbo forces in more air and thus more fuel. But if a diesel engine introduces only air and compresses it until the last second when diesel fuel is injected at the top of piston travel, how does a turbo work on a diesel if the fuel isn't present until detonation?
