Cars & Transportation - 28 July 2006

As soon as a I start the car by turning on the ignition with key the car starts, however when I release the ignition the car shuts off. What could it be? Thanks for your response.

I will hit the gas harder and the tachometer will go up to 4 or 5, but it seems as if my car should be building up speed much faster. I have a 2001 Chevy Cavalier.

The "check engine light" just appearead on my truck. I already check the coolant system, oil seems to be fine, transmission oil is ok, what else can I check? any help would be appreciated...

when going in reverse and low speedsbrake peddle.has new brakes and pads abs light comes on.also clicking noise from firewall,master cylinder area brake peddle gets stiff.no brakes ,has new shoes and pads any info.could this be a wheel sensor or what parts are there that would affect brakes like this.

I remember seeing "Cars sold as is" signs but i would think they would at least makes sure the brakes work. Poeple tell me i should seek legal help but with my luck I feel like i would just be wasting my time and loosing money. This was the 2nd time i drove the car and i didn't have insurance and I live in maryland. I didnt hit any other cars cause I veered off to the side of the road. I also ran up a nice medical bill because i hit my mouth on the stering wheel. All input would be verey helpful and appreciated

I am purchasing a house in California that my family(Wife , Son-16) and I will be living in it for all of the summer and for a few weeks in the winter. Does anybody know what you have to do to get a California Drivers License for all three members of my family? Do you know if we would have to retake the drivers test or could we just fill out a form and get the licenses?? I am also planning on buying a car in California and getting a California tag and was wondering what you need to do to get a California tag if possible, versus tagging the car in my home state.
