My budddy got a flat tire yesterday and he didn't have a donut so we had to leave it on the on the street because it was a Sunday and everything was already closed. Anyway my question is what would you do in this situation...would you have to go buy a donut or could you buy a single tire that fits your car and than just have it balanced and weighted at the mechanics later? He does not have AAA or anything so towing it would be really a last resort.

A couple of kids left their bikes in my driveway and went to play in the street a few houses down. I do not have any children so I never would have thought to check for this. I hit the bike and it seriously scratched and dented my rear bumber. I don't know if there was any damage to the bike but I told the kids what happened and not to leave there bikes in my driveway again. Am I responsible for any damage to the bike or should their parents be responsible to the damage to my car? Or would we just call it even (though the damage is going to cost me more that a brand new bike for this kid)?

Not counting bridges, why are there toll roads in other parts of the USA and not any in the western USA? It seems wierd to me, a person from CA, to have to pay a toll just for driving on flat roads.

I know its probably difficult to diagnose this with out hearing out seeing my brakes but maybe someone can give me a heads up.

I had completely brand new brakes put on my truck almost two years ago. Recently “on occasion” they started making a squealing noise when I apply my brakes and sometimes when nothing is applied. Other days there is no noise. In the two years that I have had these brakes I haven’t traveled much and I never hard brake. I do have an appointment next week for someone to look at them. The last time I needed a complete new set it cost me 600 bucks. Does it sounds like I need new brakes or maybe just a cleaning? Also how much should I expect to pay for this?

This is a 1999 GMC Sierra with ABS brakes

I will be making 100+ miles each day on weekdays. While gas economy is important, security and at least a 4 door is a preferable since I've been driving a 2-door for a period of time now and we've had to rent cars when going camping, etc. I am thinking also to perhaps sell the car after a year as I'll have the chance to move closer to my destination, so I'm concerned about how much value of the car I can keep over the year despite the mileage.

Thank you for all the answers/recommendations.

I drive a 1992 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl. I wanna get a lil more power from it cuz right now it feels like driving a 7 passenger go-cart I dont plan on keeping the van any longer than I have to but I do wanna make it a little more powerfull while I have it what are some inexpensive things I can do to squeeze more power out of it ? I dont wanna spend a lotta money on it cuz like I said I dont really wanna have to drive this thing any longer than I have to plus I dont know how long the van will last so its pointless for me to put lots of money into the car If it might not last long

How much torque and horse power will I probably have? I have a 1972 4 bolt main 350 chevy, with 69-71 "double hump" 186 heads (the 1.94 valve not they 2 by 2's) with a summit 274 deg. cam @.050, dunno how much lift it has, flat top pistons, shorty headers, an edlebrock performer intake, using the stock quadrabog carb, havent done any porting or anything, the block is in great shape never been opened untill about 2 months ago (sat in my dads shop since like 1980) havent done any ignition upgrades has a HEI setup on it, I am putting it in my 78 z28 camaro, I know I havent givin much info on my parts combo so try to "wing it" thanks, and is there any thing you would recramend changing?
